News: Daphne’s Article “No More Shame” Published & Upcoming Event

Happy Wednesday, readers! I hope you’re enjoying this lovely Fall day wherever you are.

I have lots to report!

First, I’m honored to have my article, “No More Shame” published in this month’s issue of Mentoring Moments for Christian Women. “No More Shame” is part of the series “Jesus is… Deliverer / Healer.”

I hope you will head on over, read, comment, and share with others who may be hurting. While you’re there, feel free to look around and read some of the other great articles on the site. Better yet, subscribe to their monthly newsletter.

And now on to the next bit of news…
I am so excited to be part of the Polk Authors and Illustrators Festival this Saturday in Lakeland, Florida. This will be a one-day event (9am – 3pm) to “promote Polk County’s creative side, a celebration of all things book!” I am one of 28 authors and illustrators exhibiting their work. There will also be a used book sale to benefit a local charity, as well as a book giveaway to children (while supplies last).

I hope you are able to attend. If you do, please come by my booth. It will be great to chat with you awhile.

This is a great opportunity to speak with local authors and editors, to be inspired by them, to encourage them, and to network. Oh, and you can also get started on your Christmas shopping!

If you’re unable to attend and would still like to purchase one of my books, please feel free to visit my Books page.

I am so excited about what God is doing, dear ones. Thank you, all, for your continued support and encouragement.

Blessings and hugs,

New Article Published: “Are You a PAHM?”

We’ve been having some great discussion on my latest poll: “Complain to God?” Please take some time to chime in. I will be following up with another post to summarize comments and give my input as well.

In the meantime, check out my latest article published in Mentoring Moments for Christian Women: “Are You a PAHM?” This article is geared toward women, but I’m sure men can glean some insight as well.

Big hugs,

New Article Published: “Coping with Change”

This week, I had my article, “Coping with Change,” published in Living Better at 50+.

I was truly surprised when the editor-in-chief, Carol Doyel, asked me to share an article on the site. After some correspondence, I am now one of their ongoing contributing writers.

If you’re a woman with spirit–no matter the age, I encourage you to visit Living Better at 50+. Here’s a little more about them from their website:

LivingBetterat50+ online magazine is a unique mix of health, nutrition, fitness & diet, home & travel, relationships, money & business, and includes a strong spiritual section. We target women 50+, as well as faith based women.

In a world that’s highly focused on twenty and thirty something’s, it’s not always easy to find information that honors our age group.LivingBetterAt50+ is changing that! Our intention is for this site to become a trusted resource for women over 50, a place where you can find up-to-date information on topics that touch your life daily.

I hope you will read “Coping with Change” and that you will read some of the other articles on the Living Better at 50+ web site. I’m sure you will be blessed, encouraged, and inspired to be a woman with spirit.

Big hugs,
